Aquaculture
The Citeb Technical Center is supporting Réunion’s aquaculture recovery plan to build a sector that is technically sound, innovative (in terms of production systems and species), and economically sustainable. Production takes place in onshore facilities.
Current initiatives focus on establishing a new hatchery—which will eventually be transferred to the industry—testing and proposing new strains to producers, providing technical support to local producers, proposing and developing R&D&I projects tailored to the region’s needs, transferring technology and processes to professionals, and offering customized services.
